Ableism is a form of discrimination and social prejudice. Are you questioning whether or not something is ableist? Ask a disabled person, heck as multiple disabled people. Able bodied people, you do not get to decide what is ableist. The privileged never get to determine what qualifies as oppression. This blog will attempt to display disabled people's opinions on ableism. Submissions of ableism you have experienced or witnessed are welcome., and so are examples of ableism you have seen on social media sites. If you have taken a medication and/or visited a doctor and wish to submit a review, please feel free to submit that as well. There is a general tw for the content on this blog. If I neglect to put a trigger warning on something that needs it please let me know so I can fix it. I usually like to reblog a lot of the commentary on posts.

[Image Description:  Text post reads-I am proudly ableist.  If you are some kind of retard or are offended by RETARD then go find some kook-aid and remove yourself from the gene pool.  Lets what discrimination is.  It’s telling things apart on an aspect.  Some discrimination is arbitrary and bad.  Racism is one.  Sexism is now one.  Ableism (misspells the word ableism) is not one.  If you’re retarded then you’re not going to be as good at things as people who haven’t got a disability.  Much like the way I wouldn’t put a legless person in a sports team, I’m not going to hire a retard for a mentally challenging job.  IF you think I should be forced to hire them, then I think you should be forced to pay me for the loss of value this unproductive waste of time is causing me.  So; (misuses a semicolon) I support people’s right to make choices based on whatever categories they chose, and I’m not going to get upset about people doing so. Frankly, all humans are arseholes, I can’t make myself care about your personal problem with the word retard.]
